Just Catching Up…

Hello, everyone! It seems like it’s been FOREVER since I’ve been in touch with friends discussing, crying, and laughing over books. I sure miss those days! I didn’t have a chance in 2015 to pick up a book…at all! I’ve been extremely busy and exhausted.

After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, in September, I finally returned to work. I work as a Medi-Cal Specialist (other states besides CA know it as Medicaid). The training alone was intense! Now that I have my own caseload, I definitely feel overwhelmed since it’s so demanding. Then, during the first week of January, I joined a weight loss challenge program. I’m proud to say that during those six weeks, I lost 23.4 lbs. Immediately after, I joined the program once again. Every weekday, I get up at 4:15am to hit the gym, then rush home to get ready for work, after work…it’s time for my second job…dealing with my kids and husband. Needless to say…I’m drained with absolutely no energy to write. Lately though, I’ve regained the motivation to continue writing and finish Pin Me, the third and final book of the Pinned Up trilogy.

PinMe Amazon

To be honest, Pin Me was almost done several months ago, but after certain things changed in my life, I decided to change the story also…drastically. So, I started rewriting Pin Me from scratch. That’s part of the reason for the delay. I’m praying to have it all done and edited by the end of May so the paperback can be available in June.

I have a book signing in San Francisco on June 11th, my birthday in which I’ll be dreading the 18th annual anniversary of my 21st birthday. I haven’t celebrated my birthday in several years because I truly hate it (although I love celebrating everyone else’s b-days). I usually get depressed around that time for whatever reason, but this year, I’ve decided to put my birthday in the back of my mind and enjoy the book signing itself. I’m sooooo excited to meet so many great authors and readers! I’ll be buying books and making up for 2015 when I didn’t have the chance to read anything. So, once my third book is completed, I’m making it a point to read a minimum of 2 books per week. I CAN’T WAIT!!! I felt it was necessary to explain the delay with Pin Me because…well…I felt guilty for coming across as such a flake! Every goal that I have set for myself, I have accomplished, with the exception of my trilogy. Not having the third book completed has been sitting heavy in my mind. I’m anxious to finish the story and hopefully hear/read positive feedback.

For those of you interested in attending the San Fran Golden Gate Author event…the information is as follows: Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 11:30 am – 4pm at the Holiday Inn 1500 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco, CA…I can’t wait to meet you! Just an FYI…tickets are LIMITED and are available through EventBrite. Be sure to stop by my table, I’ll be giving away all kinds of cool stuff! If you don’t see me at my table, it’s because I’ll be busy fangirling all over those amazing authors! Who’s excited? (raises hand) Meeeeeeee!!!

So excited

Okay…I have to return to finishing my book. It’s raining, my son’s baseball game was cancelled, and my family is well fed…it’s a perfect time to write! Miss all my book whores so very much!

(Back to my cave I go to finish the third book, Pin Me in the Pinned Up trilogy.)

***Pinned Up contains explicit language and strong sexual content.***

An urban contemporary romance full of snappy dialogue, edgy humor, and a lot of heart, this fun look into the world of a modern-day pin-up model is one hell of a ride!

Twenty-five-year-old Nina Moretti lives a double life of sorts. She’s a victim advocate during the day and as a side gig, lives out her 1940s fetish as a pin-up model. This arrangement suits her well, as does never having a steady boyfriend. Trust is an issue that was ruined for Nina at a young age and has yet to be recovered. While she may not “do” serious relationships, she has found fulfillment in her work and hanging out with her best friend, Kade—the greatest sidekick any woman could possibly want. All is well in Nina’s hectic, but satisfying life…

That is, until she meets Josh, a stunningly handsome man who has a notorious reputation as a ladies’ man. Living in San Francisco, California, Nina has met her fair share of eligible bachelors. But there is something different about Josh, something that compels her to try and get to know him better. For his part, Josh has always been reluctant to commit to any woman, largely as a way to spite his well-meaning, but rather overbearing mother. Nina, however, sparks his interest in a way that no other woman has before. What are two people, both scared of commitment, supposed to do?

With events taking place during the 2012 World Series, Pinned Up represents the San Francisco party scene practically as a character unto itself, with C. Michelle’s spot-on depictions of San Francisco’s hopping nightlife transporting readers to the trendiest and most notorious sections of the city. A heartfelt novel depicting modern love with a refreshing twist, Pinned Up is a must-read.

Book Signings

Hello, everyone! I hope 2015 is treating you well so far. Things with me have been hectic, but great!

Last month on Friday, February 13th, I had the privilege of being one of the signing authors at the Love and Fifty event that was held at the Embassy Suites in Sacramento, CA. It was AWESOME! I had the opportunity to meet so many great authors, bloggers, and fans. After the signing, everyone watched the movie, Fifty Shades of Grey in a reserved theater.

The coordinators are considering doing the event again next year. How cool would that be?

In the meantime, I’m super excited about my next book signing, the Authors Under The Lights (AUTL) 2015 event. It will be held on Saturday, March 21st at the Hilton in Universal City, CA.

I’m not just saying that because I’m one of the signing authors (lol), I mean it…the geniuses behind The Lord of the Manor and Caleb among several other talented authors will be there!

I’ll be fangirling all over the place! I hope you can attend this awesome event!
