Pinned Up is a novel based in San Francisco, Ca. It’s a New Adult Contemporary Romance that is edgy, vibrant, humorous, and heartfelt with a spice of sexiness and a dash of raunchiness. It gives a taste of the city’s nightlife. The main character is Valentina Moretti aka Nina who happens to be a pin up model as a side gig.

In the following weeks until the release date of my book (which is expected to be mid June), I’ll be posting the book’s cover, blurb, teasers, and two full chapters to get you better acquainted with Nina and her loved ones. Come back and visit the site or sign up to receive emails for the latest updates! Thanks!

A little about me…
IMG_7466I’m a Northern Cali girl, born and raised. I was a high school dropout who got pregnant at the young age of 18. When I found out of my pregnancy, I enrolled back in school. I didn’t allow being a young mom to intervene with the educational goals I had set for myself. Since then, I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration. I worked in Probation for eight years and instructed a Victim Awareness class for three years. Now, I’m a stay at home mom by choice. I want to be there for my kids and see them grow…my career can wait. Although my hubs and three kids are a handful, I know I’m truly blessed to have the opportunity to focus on my family.

Several people planted a seed in my head about writing a book, two people in particular are my husband and friend, Juliet Fowler (founder of the SMI Book Club). Initially, their suggestions weren’t taken seriously, since I have NEVER written anything in my life that wasn’t related to school or work, not even a journal. I’ve always been afraid of exposing personal things in writing such as my thoughts, beliefs, twisted sense of humor, and fantasies. I’m very thankful to them for giving me the push that I needed. After reading so many books, I finally decided to disregard my fear and anxiety to tell a story of my own. I wanted it to be funny, sexy, raunchy, address a few serious issues, have some suspense, and sweet moments…I wanted my novel to be eclectic and consist of various elements. I decided to move forward with the characters and ideas that quickly formed and took a life of their own. My debut novel, Pinned Up is a story I wrote for myself and immediately fell in love with. It consists of my choice of music, the slang I’m used to speaking, and my preferences in several aspects of life. I’ve embraced this story and given it my all, I can only hope that readers like it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

My interests include music, all things romantic and bad ass, reality TV shows, watching movies, attending comedy shows, and of course, reading. I’m one of the original members of the SMI Book Club. I’m a major book whore and have several fictional loves. I’m a die-hard junk food junkie. Life is too short to eat Tofu and plain yogurt (if you ask me). I need flavor in my life…lol! In a nutshell, I’m a kid at heart with a twisted sense of humor…I definitely don’t take myself too seriously. I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s okay because I’d rather be someone’s shot of tequila anyway! Salud!

I look forward to chatting with you soon.
